We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support our growing business operations in the United Kingdom. This role will assist in maintaining financial records, supporting compliance with tax regulations, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support to our UK accounting team and liaise closely with our group finance management.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Maintain and reconcile trading-related financial records and sub-ledger accounts.
• Process invoices and manage bank statement reconciliations.
• Support payment processing and communicate with banks and financial institutions.
• Document and reconcile intercompany and brokerage transactions.
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and management accounts.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Assist with compliance documentation and liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks supporting trading operations.

What You Bring to the Table: 

• 1-2 years experience in accounting, preferably within financial services or brokerage.
• Degree or ongoing qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a prop trading firm, FX broker, or similar financial institution strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of trading operations, settlements, and brokerage financial processes advantageous.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero preferred) and intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Familiarity with basic financial regulations impacting brokerage activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Effective communication skills, proactive attitude, and willingness to develop professionally.
